Condition: Some marks but overall condition is good with no creases and no detraction of the picture.

About: John Macallan Swan is famous for his watercolour and chalk works of animals especially Tigers. An accomplished painter and a skilful draughtsman and member of the Royal Academy, Macallan was also a sculptor of great ability. He treated the human figure with notable power, but it was by his representations of the larger wild animals that he established his reputation.
