Condition: The Drawing is in good condition with minimal marks consistent with age. As this is a double sided drawing it is supplied loose, ready to be framed to your requirements as either a single sided or double sided picture.
Provenance: Abbot and Holder London Ltd. Private Collection Sydney Australia.

About: This is a lovely double sided drawing with a gypsy girl and an impressionist crowd study verso. Rich was an English water colourist, teacher and author. He studied art from the age of just eight years old, a self-taught student who was inspired by the likes of Turner and Constable. Rich is mainly known for his landscape watercolour works, often sighting inspiration from the works of Thomas Girtin, John Sell Cotman and Peter De Wint.

Rich's first public exhibitions were at his studio in Croydon in 1896, followed by showings at the New English Art Club, the Piccadilly Egyptian Hall, the Alpine Club, Goupil's London Salon, the Carfax Gallery, the Leicester Galleries and Walker's Galleries.
