Title: St Paul, Neo-Gothic Ecclesiastical Plaque.
Medium: Carved cedar panel painted with polychrome pigment.
Condition: Good condition with wear commensurate with age. The paint is faded with some small losses.

About: Saint Paul depicted with a sword and a book are the common attributes of Saint Paul. The sword is a reminder of the means of his martyrdom as he was executed in Rome in 67 AD under the instructions of emperor Nero.
