Title: Madonna of the Goldfinch - After Raphael (Italian 1483 - 1520).

Framed Size: Height 41.5 cm x Width 31.5 cm x Depth 2.5 cm.
Image Size: Height 20.5 cm x Width 16 cm.
Condition: This painting is in good original condition. A small repair has been made to the gilt wood frame, which is in good solid condition.

About: This impressive 19th Century Italian School, oil on board after the painting by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, known as Raphae, titled Madonna of the Goldfinch (head and shoulders have been cropped). A leading figure of Italian High Renaissance classicism, Raphael is best known for his "Madonnas," including the Sistine Madonna, and for his large figure compositions in the Palace of the Vatican in Rome.

The painting is in an original hand-carved Florentine gilt wood frame. Hand-written inscriptions verso read - Raffaell Galleria Uffizi, Societe Artistica Viale Principa Eugenio Firenze.
